[edit] Local facilities

Upton has four primary schools - Upton Heath (formerly Upton Manor), Westlea, Acresfield and Mill View - and a secondary school, Upton High. There is also a library, on Wealstone Lane, which is set next to playing fields, bowling greens and a children's park.

The nearest railway station is the railway station at Bache.

There are several rows of shops. These can be found at the A41 traffic lights, Weston Grove, Dickson's Drive and Mill Lane and at least four pubs. The main pubs are the Wheatsheaf on Heath Road and the frog on Liverpool Road. Upton also plays host to a golf course and four churches; one Baptist, one United Reformed Church, one Catholic, one Church of England, called Holy Ascension.

Upton also has an amateur dramatics club, a childrens play group and an after school club.
