Walking Tours depart every day at 10:30 every day of the year from Chester Tourist Information Centre in the Town Hall Square. This tour lasts one and a half hours it is a general history tour of the City. Other tours are available (pre-bookable) the choices include a tour where the guide is one of the few full-time Roman Soldiers in the UK. Tours can apparently be conducted in the following languages (with advance notice?):
