[edit] Info
Owner Carole Faulkner is famous across the county for her awesome knowledge and impressive range of cheeses. She specialises in stocking local cheeses, but sells cheeses that come from all over Europe. There is a cellar underneath the shop packed full of cheeses slowly coming to maturity and then brought upstairs for sale at the optimum moment. So, whether you want a proper, locally made crumbly slab of Cheshire, a wedge of farmhouse Brie or something more unusual such as gjetost from Norway, this is the place to go.
Just opening the door is part of the whole experience here - you'll be greeted with the heavenly waft of ripe cheeses, just waiting to be scoffed. Carole also offers advice to her customers and sells a range of other products that will enhance your enjoyment of the cheeses you buy - everything from chutneys and pickles to biscuits, English wines and deli delights.
Their website is still under contruction but can be found at chestercheeseshop.co.uk; email Carole@chestercheeseshop.co.uk for any orders or questions.
