Tattenhall ward consists of the 12 parishes of Tattenhall, Newton-by-Tattenhall, Golborne Bellow, Tilstone Fearnall, Tiverton, Beeston, Burwardsley, Golborne David, Handley, Chowley, Hatton and Saighton. Saighton Camp is an army base rather than an outpost of hell.

Architect Clough Williams-Ellis, creator of Portmeirion in north-west Wales, designed a group of houses here in 1937.
