..mmmm... well I tried to link this page to the main Wiki entry and the link was deleted as "inappropriate external content" anyone any idea's why this might happen? Hooligan 13:52, 18 April 2007 (CDT)

The answer was found on the talk page of the Cheshire Portal "I am inclined to delete the links where they occur unless some serious work is done to improve the quality and verifiability of the content on the Chester Wiki. After all, we have a large enough job trying to bring the articles up to standard with respect to references and citations, without new external links that point to a different wiki with no verifiable content on it." (emphasis added by me)

As you might guess, having spent days researching my articles I was a bit miffed by this attitude. The person in question had the good grace to apologise (after he actually read the article). However, apart from leaving a few links in the hope that they will be useful to someone, I'm leaving Cheshire Portal to the "other" wiki people from now on.
