Most visitors to Chester would do worse than to visit the Grosvenor museum. This is an excellent preface to a walking tour of the city, as one is then able to imagine how it was in Roman times. The amphitheatre, athough much is hidden, is another 'must see'.

I do feel that we are very privileged to live in such a beautiful city because, although it is a city, it has the warmth and closeness of a large village. The buildings, architecture, quaintness and riverside all combine to make this a very picturesque place to live.

There are a large number of apartments now springing up around the city but as they the majority are built to fit in with the surroundings there is no problem of 'new v old' just a wonderful blend of both. These apartments breathe life into older more run down areas, thus ensuring that constant regeneration takes place. There are therefore no 'no go' areas of Chester - just up-and-coming.
