..this looks awfully like an advert. Perhaps a bit of info about Mayor of Chester Henry Gee and the events of 1539/40 would help - the year of the first races was also the year that the Chester monastery was dissolved, for example. Was Henry Gee the origin of the phrase "Gee-gee" meaning horse (OED says no)..etc
