In a story reported in the Chronicle, Merseyrail have announced:

“We have decided to make all trains in Merseyside booze free ... We accept that many people will have consumed drink during the day, but we will not allow anyone carrying alcohol to board a train. The choice is simple, surrender your booze or miss the train.”

Does this mean that if I go shopping at Morrisons in Bache, I can't catch the train if I have bought a bottle of wine? If I am invited to a party that I can't take a bottle with me?
