The indoor market is in The Forum Shopping Centre, (see The Battle of the Market Sign) across from TJ Hughes, and opposite the bus station by the Town Hall. Operating times are: 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday (8.00am - 5.30pm). The market is scheduled for redevelopment as part of the Northgate Development.

The Farmers' Market is on the first Wednesday of every month.

Most weekends, there is at least one specialist market in Chester - computers, antiques, vintage clothes... most of these take place at the Northgate Arena. Details are usually advertised in the Chester Chronicle.
