Welcome to Chesterwiki, an interconnected community effort to explore, discuss and compile anything and everything about Chester — especially the little, enjoyable things that only the locals would know. We have reviews of pubs, restaurants, shops and everything else in Chester, and everyone is welcome to add content.
This entire site is non-commercial and maintained by the people who use it:- anyone can edit this website! We currently have 465 articles and 109 users. We have a "twin town" (wiki-wise) in the wiki for Shetland. If you're new, check out our Introduction to Chesterwiki.

St John's needs your help! Chester's weird and wonderful half-Byzantine and half Norman first cathedral is in need of some support. OK, so it has been hit by earthquakes, involved in wars and may have housed the tomb of King Harold, but the the Vicar lays claim to a unique organ...

Getting Started
First, check out the Chester Wiki Guide, which explains what a wiki is and how it works, if you don't already know. Wikipedia is the prime example of a successful wiki project. Or read How Wikis Work for some information on the philosophy of wiki.
Feel free to create new pages — just remember to link them so they can be found. If you don't know where to start or don't have any ideas, see what pages we need or head over to the forum to find out what else needs to be done.
If you own a pub, restaurant or another business in Chester please feel free to list yourself. However, please don't post gigabyte sized images or add pages of advertising. Try to stick to the facts - we are a "not for profit" wiki and we are not here to host a business website for free!

Formerly known as Est Est Est, this place was transformed at the end of last year into the Chester branch of The Black House Grill. The owning company is also responsible for hoisting the swanky Living Room upon us, and is indeed the owner of Est Est Est. And so if you have ever been to The Living Room then you pretty much know what you are going to get with the Black House Grill.more >
