Here are the shortest routes around the Hoole Bridge closure if you need to walk to the station, 1.7 Km along the tow-path or 2.5km through Northgate village. Rumour has it that Steve Howe will be writing a guide to the interesting sights on route for all of us that will face this trudge twice a day. Personally, I feel sorry for our postman who normally only has to cycle over Hoole Bridge from the sorting office but now gets to visit Boughton as well.
