[edit] Blurb
Attractive city centre pub named after the former Custom Officer's house across the road.
[edit] Where
At the bottom of Watergate Street, just a couple of minutes' walk from the city centre and across the road from the Guildhall, home of Chester & South Clwyd CAMRA's beer festivals.
[edit] Atmosphere
Quiet - except on racedays - the Custom House is a friendly and attractive place to sit and drink on your own or in a group. The bar and lounge can be used for dining, but the rear of the pub has a separate and outside dining area that are very pleasant.
[edit] Prices
Reasonable, and not expensive considering the current climate.
[edit] Food
Tasty, reliable Marstons menu with some good special offers.
[edit] Conclusion
A friendly city pub with a fine atmosphere and good value for money.
